Coming Clean

Clean Beauty Artists was launched from the vision of two veteran DC makeup artists, who have experienced firsthand the ever-increasing need for quality, personalized hair and makeup services catering to the busy lifestyle demands of the DC professional. Introduced as professionals first, Ky and Suzanne became friends with a common love of clean beauty looks and indie beauty brands. Ky and Suzanne never dreamed that their love of all things beauty would light the path for a business venture as a result of tragic life experiences. 

Ky having suffered health and fertility issues for years and Suzanne living with an ailing family member decided that they wanted to maximize wellness for themselves and their households. Both friends separately came clean with the beauty products that they use on their bodies as well as their professional hair and makeup kits. They've never felt better or been more healthy and they want to share their life changing experience with their clients.

Founder Bio's

Ky Washington, an innovative makeup and hair artist, has been a DC leader amongst high profile individuals and celebrities. With 15 years of industry experience, Ky developed her craft doing makeup for film and television, red carpet presentation, clean beauty print ads and fashion editorials. She is most currently distinguished by her work at CNN, CNNE, CNNI, HLN, CCTV, and Bloomberg TV, providing hair and makeup services for television anchors and their guests.  Additionally, Ky has an extensive private and celebrity clientele.

Ky studied at The Aveda Institute, The Artistry Beauty Institute, as well as, participated in in-depth training with celebrity makeup artist and founder of Stila Cosmetics, Jeanine Lobell. Her expertise with high definition and airbrush application, corporate makeup application, hair styling, men's grooming, and beauty and fashion photography has made her a Washington notable.

Suzanne Eden, professional makeup artist, is best known for her work with local and national production companies and their advertising photography and video shoots. Her artistry is best witnessed through print advertising and billboards throughout the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. Suzanne has developed a solid foundation of web-based, television and on-line advertising sources. Suzanne has partnered with nationally renowned photographers such as Greg Powers, Luxe Interiors + Design Magazine TM and Paul Morse, presidential photographer, preparing their subjects for photographing. Suzanne’s makeup artistry has been contracted by such major networks as National Geographic and the production company, The Blaze.

As a makeup artist to United States senators and House representatives, her attention to detail, expertise, and excellence, prepare the client for viewing audiences at the national level. Suzanne is experienced with high definition and airbrush application, corporate makeup application, men's grooming, and authentic beauty artistry.

An easygoing personality, adaptive in nature, and well accomplished in her field, has made Suzanne Eden a well sought after artist across all media platforms.
